Unearthing Ogawa This widely-acclaimed documentary has played in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and in major film festivals in the US, Canada, Australia, and Cannes France. It was named Best Documentary at the Chicago Independent Film Festival, Best Documentary by the 2022 California Indies Fest, and was a Finalist on the 2021 national Emmy Award Ballot. Festivals in Montreal, Vancouver, Toronto, New York City, Los Angeles, Boston, Ontario, Portland, Albuquerque, Hamilton/Canada, and the Maine Public Film Series (2021 and 2022) have all selected & honored the film. The international IndieFEST and ImpactDOCS both gave it Awards of Excellence as a Feature and for Steve Meixell as Director.
